Confirmation
What is Confirmation? Confirmation is a two year program designed for 7th - 8th grade youth who desire to learn about the Christian faith. Our schedule follows that of the Yucaipa-Calimesa Unified School District. Classes for the 2010-2011 school year meet on Sunday mornings, at 9:15AM.
We cover:
- History of The Bible
- Martin Luther's contribution to Christianity as we know it today
- God's Character
- The life of Jesus
- The purpose of the Holy Spirit and the Christian church
- The importance of Baptism and Communion in the life of a believer
- The different parts of The Lord's Prayer and Apostles Creed
- Church discipline
- Confession and Forgiveness
- The 10 Commandments
- And the Good News contained in God's Word!
Each lesson helps youth to better understand the Christian faith and to help them discover their purpose as servants in Christ's Kingdom.
Upon successful completion of all course work, youth will be honored in a special ceremony in front of the congregation recognizing their achievement.
